josefine: my sensitivity is my super power

London-based Danish model, Josefine, is the main character in our Horosoaps x sitre full moon bar shoot. And what a main character! We connected with her a long time ago as we adore her energy so when we had to shoot our cosmic campaign, we knew she was the star as she’s very into her astrology. We adored spending the day with her in London - and we adored this conversation which is all about star sign energy, sexiness and being kind.

Hi Josefine, could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?
I’m a 29 year old curve model, who’s living between London and Copenhagen. I’ve always had a big interest in things like spirituality, astrology, human connections, mental health, and with a general urge to spread the word of kindness. I think I never really felt comfortable in my own head and body, so finding out about being a neurodivergent girlie as an adult, just immediately made sense to me, and is something I’m both embracing but also working hard on helping myself deal with in the best way.

Besides that, I’m also just a small town girl with big dreams trying to chase her goals one step at a time!

What’s your starsign and how does it manifest itself?
My sun sign is Cancer. I would definitely say I always had many of the big traits for a Cancer. Being a Cancerian usually comes with a big emotional intelligence and strong intuition, which for example shows itself in the way I understand and feel with every person around me, but also being able to adjust to most situations I find myself in.

I really think my sensitivity is my super power, even though it took a long time for me to acknowledge it as a good thing rather than a burden, since it can often be overwhelming to feel “everything” in this world we live in.

For any other curious astrology people out there, I can tell you that I’m an Aquarius rising and Virgo moon :)

You’re the star of our full moon shoot. How do you feel during full moon?
Being a Cancer, who’s ruled by the moon, I would say I always feel everything even more intensely during the full moon. I feel an even bigger sensitivity during this time, and my sleep was also always impacted by it throughout my whole life.

However, when there’s a full moon it’s also a time for me to recharge and manifest goals that I might have for myself at the moment. It’s a time to be extra kind to yourself, as emotions often are more powerful and can feel overwhelming.

We came up with the idea for our full moon bar because astrological theory believes it’s peak time for sensual energies. What’s your take on this?
I think because the full moon generally intensifies our energies and emotions, it definitely also impacts and hightens any needs we might have and would therefore get you in touch with your sensual energy, if you’re open for it.

When do you feel the most sexy?
Obviously the easy answer to this would be “when I look good”, and sometimes this might also be the case. But for me, feeling sexy is highly connected to when I’m feeling good mentally and can get out of my head and into my body instead. Being around the right kind of people who affirms you helps too of course!

How do you think intimacy impacts your wellbeing?
To survive in this world, I’m super dependant on intimacy in diffrent forms - whether that be as a long, tight hug from a loved one, a deep and intimate conversation, being kind to myself in my own space, or someting else. If I don’t feel that safe and intimate connection for a while, then I often quickly experience a feeling of sadness and start craving it. Intimate connections are created in safe spaces or within people who gives you a feeling of being safe, so I think it’s vital to our wellbeing.

Finally, what advice would you give if someone didn’t know how to tap into their own sensual energy?
I think for me personally, I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know myself mentally and physically (and still do every day), to learn to be completely aware of my own feelings first. I think generally when you know yourself well, then you’ll be able to tap into any intimate energy on a new level, cause you’re creating a space for yourself where there’s no shame or form of discomfort. For me and many others, I know it’s something we have to work on along the way, but I’m convinced it comes from within, when you get to know yourself and your own wants, needs, and boundaries. It takes time and a lot of work to get to this place mentally, where you’re able to relax and tap into those intimate energies.
