rylé: I was navigating years of suppression
Rylé Tuvierra, known to many as @thefiercewalker, describes herself as a fashion and culture creator—but to us, she’s so much more. She’s a force for positive change, using her platform and voice to champion honesty, inclusivity, and empowerment. We first crossed paths with Rylé at Paris Fashion Week, where her authenticity and supportive worldview immediately drew us in. With her strong values and fearless approach to living them, she’s proof that meaningful change begins with courage and conviction.
We’re deeply grateful for Rylé and the work she does, and we hope this conversation inspires you as much as it inspired us. Make sure to follow Rylé ‘s journey right here.
Hi Rylé, thanks for saying yes to this interview. Could you start by giving our readers a little insight into who you are and how you’re feeling at the moment?
My name is Rylé Tuvierra—I’m a fashion and cultural curator based between Barcelona and Paris. Right now, I’m feeling deeply grateful and fulfilled. Fashion Month just wrapped, and I’m shifting my focus to new projects that excite me, pushing boundaries in the worlds of fashion, identity, and personal expression.
You talk a lot about confidence and self-expression—how do you think these play into intimacy and feeling at home in your body?
Confidence is the foundation of self-expression, and for me, it has been a journey of reclaiming my body on my own terms. After my breast augmentation and a shift in my relationship with my body, I found myself stepping into a new sense of empowerment. That transformation didn’t just change how I dress—it redefined my relationship with intimacy. I feel more free, more experimental, and more in tune with my desires. There’s something powerful about wearing something that makes you feel sensual, stepping out with a new energy, and embracing every part of yourself.
Have you ever felt held back because of taboos, stereotypes, and shame when talking about intimacy?
Absolutely. Growing up in the Philippines and the UAE, conversations around intimacy—especially as a woman—were often silenced. It wasn’t something openly discussed among friends or in social settings. That suppression made me feel disconnected from myself, as if I had to constantly wear a mask. Moving to Barcelona five years ago was a turning point. I slowly unlearned those constraints, allowing myself to explore, to speak freely, and to embrace intimacy as something natural and empowering rather than something to hide.
What has been your biggest personal revelation when it comes to intimacy?
That I’m far more adventurous than I once thought. For a long time, I assumed I was reserved, but in reality, I was just navigating years of internalized suppression. The moment I allowed myself to be fully seen and to express my desires without hesitation, I discovered a side of me that was always there—just waiting to be acknowledged.
How do you think design, beauty, and wellness intersect with intimacy?
They’re all connected. Design influences how we interact with objects, how we curate experiences, and even how we perceive pleasure. Beauty is about self-adornment—what we wear, how we present ourselves, and how that affects our confidence. Wellness, on the other hand, ensures that intimacy isn’t just about aesthetics but about how we feel—physically, mentally, emotionally. Whether it’s the way I dress, the spaces I create, or the rituals I indulge in, everything is about crafting an experience that makes me feel alive, present, and fully myself.
Do you have any rituals that help you feel more connected to yourself or a partner?
For us, it’s all about creating an experience that engages the senses. We love lighting sitre candles to set the mood—they transform the atmosphere instantly. Scent plays a huge role in intimacy for us, so we always take a hot shower beforehand, making sure we feel fresh and invigorated. And, of course, the right background music ties everything together, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment.
How can we all become more unapologetic about our desires?
It starts with self-awareness—truly understanding what excites you, what makes you feel good, and owning that without hesitation. Being honest with yourself about your pleasures and intimacy language is the key to confidence. The more you embrace your desires without shame, the more naturally they flow into your relationships and self-expression. Desire isn’t something to suppress—it’s something to celebrate.
And finally, if you could give one piece of advice for someone looking to cultivate deeper intimacy—whether with themselves or a partner—what would it be?
Explore without fear. Try new things, communicate openly, and invest in experiences that enhance your connection—whether it’s with yourself or a partner. Personally, sitre products have elevated my intimacy and wellness in ways I didn’t expect, making me feel more in tune with my desires. And above all—safe sex, always. Confidence and pleasure go hand in hand with care and respect.
